For Best Results Please inform our wax specialist of any and all medications prior to any service. Hair should be at least ¼ of an inch for best results. (Which makes the hair able to lay down flat on your skin.) Please stop shaving 2 weeks prior to appointment (Also, if you “let it go'' down there and it seems out of control, don’t worry! Our specialist will trim any longer hairs to proper length prior to removal process.) Cleanliness is appreciated, but please skip the lotion; you’ll get a better result if your skin is less oily. When will the hair re-appear? That depends on every individual person, but with the majority of people it will take about 6 – 10 weeks for ALL your hair you wax to reappear. All hair does not grow back at the same rate. Is it true my skin will turn red after waxing? Yes, sometimes there is swelling, depending on your skin’s level of sensitivity. IT goes away in a few hours for most people and it is “normal”. The pay off of having a smooth back, groomed brow, Etc., is worth it for most. I sometimes get bumps after waxing services. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? Yes, using a scrub on the part of the body that is getting waxed helps immensely. Avoid saunas, hot steamy showers and tanning for a few days afterwards helps as well. But the most important thing is to use a treatment 1 to 2 week after waxing services. We also carry Tend Skin to help ingrowen hairs. |
